EFT FOR PHYSICAL PAIN

Here you will learn a very powerful and easy technique, which you can apply on yourself and others, and you will have huge results. This is the most effective healing tool I have come across so far. It has numerous applications. Here we will focus on its application to physical problems only. In the mental and emotional healing sections of the site, we will learn how to use it for virtually every type of negativity the human energy system suffers from.

The energy technique is called Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT for short, and was introduced to the world by the American Gary Craig. It is based on stimulating the body’s basic meridian points while focusing on the negative aspect of the discomfort, be it physical, mental or emotional. Meridians are the energy channels of the body, like blood vessels, but with energy. The Chinese have used meridians for healing for 2000 years. They use needles to stimulate the meridians (acupuncture). Using the needles on the meridians helps the energy flow better in the body, creating a release of trapped negative energy in the part of the body that is stimulated by the needles. The needles act as an energy antenna. EFT is advanced acupuncture, instead of placing a needle on the meridian point, we tap on it to create an internal stimulation of the energy system.

EFT comes from TFT, Thought Field Therapy. TFT began using tapping on the basic meridian points of the human energy system, but it is a more complex way of applying it to treat pain, illness, and mental and emotional problems. EFT is the super easy way of meridian therapy, like TFT for dummies. Learning how to properly apply EFT on yourself and others will make you a super healer. The motto is: “Try it on everything!”, but they also say that it might not work for everything or everyone. Even so, most practitioners have tremendous results using this technique. I believe that with this technique you can do miracles of healing. It’s about knowing how to use it properly and always having patience, trust and perseverance.

Gary Craig’s basic principle is that every pain or ailment in the body is due to a disturbance in the flow of energy in the system. By tapping the energy system of the main meridians and vocalizing the aspect of discomfort, you create an internal energy flow that will release blocked energy from the human energy system.

Very important is the choice of description of the discomfort aspect. You can choose to give it a colour, a shape, a feeling or a location in the body. An example will show how easy this is. Let’s say you have back pain. You simply ask your back pain (approaching it as if you were addressing a person), “what colour is it?” and wait for the answer. You don’t think (using your mind) of a colour, you let it come from the pain (from the subconscious mind). Always, an answer will come. Always go with the first colour, or colours, that come to mind. For example, it can be a red back pain or orange-red back pain. Or you can ask her what shape it is, and it can be round or square. Or you can ask her what it feels like, and it can be a pumping sensation, or a burning sensation, or a stinging sensation. Or simply use the description back pain for your pain. The more descriptions you give it, the more effectively the technique will work. Over time, you will feel what is the best way for you to approach physical problems. This protocol in finding the description of the physical problem applies to any type of discomfort: headache, leg pain, stiffness, heaviness, tingling, pressure, heat, cold, or any other type of discomfort in the body.

So, we have the description of the physical problem we want to release. In this way, we have an address for the subconscious mind, which knows where to send the electromagnetic signals we send through the meridians. Now, we need to apply the EFT tapping sequence. I will give an example of how to use EFT on the physical problem of back pain, a common pain in the physical department.

EFT for Back Pain (Red and Round Back Pain)

First the pain is given an intensity level. You ask the pain: “How intense are you on a scale of 0 to 10?”, 0 being not at all and 10 being the most you’ve ever felt. And you wait for an answer, it can be 10 or 8 or 5. Now you have the reference intensity that you can use to monitor your progress.

Then comes the opening statement and after that comes the EFT sequence.

Opening statement

Tapping the karate chop point (the part where one would strike with a karate chop in a martial art mode), say the following statement out loud:

“Even though I have this Back Pain (Red/Circular),

I choose to let it go.”

“Even though I have this Back Pain (Red/Circular),

I choose to let it go.”

“Even though I have this Back Pain (Red/Circular),

I choose to let it go.”

(This way you connect better with the negative energy from the back)

EFT sequence

The description of the pain is repeated out loud: (red and circular back pain) and you begin to tap the basic meridian points of the body.

These are the points in the tapping order. They start from the top of the head and end with the karate chop point. The order is conventional to create an easy taping procedure from top to bottom, but you can apply the points in any order you like and achieve the same healing effect. You also don’t need to tap hard on them, a gentle touch is all you need to get the technique going.

The EFT points are:

1) The top of the head, right in the middle of the top of the head.

2) The beginning of the eyebrow, exactly where the eyebrow begins near the nose region.

3) Side of the eye, right on the bone on the side of the eye.

4) Under the eyes, exactly on the bone under the eyes.

5) Under the nose.

6) Under the mouth.

7) KT27, exactly just below the junction between the collarbone and sternum, where there is a small gap.

8) Under the arm, exactly under the arm at the level of the nipple.

9) The wrist point.

10) The first finger, exactly at the end of the finger on the part of the skin next to the nail.

11) Second finger, same location as first.

12) Third finger, same location as first.

13) Fourth finger, same location as first.

14) Fifth finger, same location as first.

15) Karate chop point.

From top to bottom is a round. Tap 5 to 8 times on each point. A round should take no more than 20-30 seconds, depending on how fast you tap. In a tapping sequence, we do 3 rounds from top to bottom while vocalizing the pain. After the 3 rounds, we tap for 3 more rounds, but now we no longer vocalize the pain, but focus on deep and continuous breathing. We focus on breathing into the pain and breathing out the pain.

After the breathing exercise, take a break and monitor your progress. Now you check the intensity again, see what number the pain has now. For example, from 10 it has dropped to 5 or 6. You also check the colour again, for example, it could still be red or from red turned to green. You can also check the form. It may have the same shape, or it may have a different one. Also, the location could have changed, for example becoming a hip or leg pain.

After each tapping sequence, you must again find the correct description for the pain. In this way, you will find a new aspect of pain that you need to release one by one. The technique is called Chasing the Pain. This way you will locate every aspect of your pain. Think of any Pain as being a forest of negativity where it’s located, and you will have to cut down tree after tree in order to get rid of the forest. Cutting down the entire forest at once would be much more difficult than cutting down each tree individually. In some cases, it may be the same description (aspect) with less intensity. In other cases, it may be a different description with less intensity. There are cases where it can be another description with the same intensity as before. And rarely, you can have the same description with the same intensity as before. The secret here is to keep tapping and find new descriptions (aspects). If the first description didn’t work, you find another to describe it and start another tapping sequence.

For example, we can ask ourselves what does it feel like and it could be a “throbbing back pain”. So now we would use this description in another tapping sequence. This is the key to being a successful EFT practitioner, finding the right description and continuing to tap. Don’t give up, keep applying EFT. There is nothing to lose here, only the pain itself. The technique is very fast. A tapping sequence lasts about 2-3 minutes, so why not keep tapping for another 3-5 minutes and see what happens.

After you have the intensity level and the new description after the tapping sequence, you do another tapping sequence. For example, our 10 Backache (Red/Circular) is now a 6 Backache (Blue/Triangular). You are now using Blue and/or Triangular Back Pain in the opening statement and EFT sequence. Now and for the following aspects that appear, the opening statement is said only once, and I continue with the 6 rounds of up to down tapping. Then, you look at how the pain is after the second tapping sequence in terms of intensity, colour, shape and location. It could be reduced dramatically (from 6 to 1), or slightly (from 6 to 3), or very slightly (from 6 to 5). It all depends on how much negative charge each aspect that comes up has.

Again, the secret to success is a new description, patience, trust and perseverance. Continue tapping until the intensity reaches 0 back pain. For some it might work very quickly and for others it might take an hour to release all the pain. It all depends on how much negativity the person has experienced and how much toxicity the person has in their body. In a truly toxic person, energy flows much more slowly than in a less toxic person. As always, the secret to success is to keep tapping until the pain goes away.

It is possible that after the back pain goes, new pain or physical discomfort will appear. This is like another link in the negative chain that exists in your energy system. This is another aspect we need to work on. The same protocol applies (Pain Release). Describe the new aspect in intensity, colour, shape and/or feel and/or location and do all necessary tapping sequences and find new ways to describe until all is released from the body/energy system.

You will find that with practice you will find your own special way of applying EFT to physical or any other problems. Although you can learn this technique (the classic EFT technique), from books and videos, I recommend that you enrol in an EFT course where you can get the best teaching in applying this technique. You also have people willing to work on your problems using this particular healing technique. I recommend you go to Karl Dawson, EFT Master and Creator of Matrix Reimprinting (a super powerful application of EFT which is featured in the emotional healing part of the site). His classes are very good, and he is a superstar healer. Much is to be learned and gained from interacting with him. He made a huge difference in my life and the lives of many others, and I’m sure he will make one in yours.

I first learned this magical self-healing technique from the EFT manual, which you can download online for free. I was very amazed by its super healing effects. The look on people’s faces was priceless. They couldn’t believe that in a few minutes I was able to make their long lasting pain go away. A woman had severe back pain for 2 weeks that made it impossible for her to bend down and put on her shoes. After a few minutes, she was relieved of the pain, and she was shocked. A man had a headache for four months and couldn’t believe that the pain was gone.

It also works for sports injuries. If you fall and bump or sprain your ankle, you can easily heal and get back in the game. I always loved it when I could use it at parties. If a pain occurs that stops you from dancing, Alex is quickly on the job to help you enjoy your party again. It also works in training sessions at the gym. You pull hard and feel some kind of stiffness or stinging, pain or sprain, you quickly apply EFT to your aspect of discomfort and you’re ready to continue your workout at the gym. With EFT you make pain and all other physical problems a thing of the past. Just tap on whatever comes up and you’ll be fine.

Knowing how to properly apply this technique to yourself and others will make you have a pain-free environment. You stop complaining about pain and have more time and energy to have fun and/or work. Having a pain-free body is essential to your growth and evolution in realizing your best version of yourself.

Pain is the effect of negative emotions that are felt from traumatic experiences. Depending on the type of negative emotions, you will feel after a while a certain type of pain in a certain area of the body. For example, if you have a sense of self-devaluation (feeling that you are not good enough), you will experience bone pain. If self-devaluation is about your ability to get ahead in life (to move forward in some aspect/aspects of your life), it will be felt in your feet. If you have a central sense of core self-devaluation (feeling that you are not good enough as a whole being), you will feel it in the lumbar region. This will be explained in detail in the Emotional Healing section of the site, where you will learn about the 5 biological laws, which clearly show the connection between negative emotions and physical discomfort. When you are in pain, the body is actually in the healing phase of that area. Applying EFT makes healing faster and releases the negative emotion that is trapped there. EFT makes possible a super healthy and happy society.
