
Here you will learn about the transition you will make between having a toxic diet and having a nutritious and super healthy diet. Making this transition will take some time, it doesn’t happen overnight. This will depend on how many toxins you have accumulated in your body. Slowly, but in no time, you will be able to get rid of most of them and in time you can reach a clean diet. Various detoxification programs will be presented here that will help you release toxins from the body. I recommend trying them all one at a time, but if you’re already in a healing process and have done detox before, you can go straight for the most challenging and effective programs. Some are harder to do than others, you will feel which ones are right for you at the right time in your detox process. I will start with the ones that, to me, seem to be easier to do.
Detoxification is a crucial step in achieving your super healthy state/existence. You can do it yourself, but I recommend you consult me, or a nutrition or detox expert, or your doctor (if you’re on a treatment) for advice on what the best detox program would be for you to start. Likewise, I recommend that you document yourself as much as possible about what you want to do in order to know well what you are getting into. When you do a detox, you will experience some unpleasant symptoms. You may feel weak, dizzy, and/or have a headache, stomach-ache or other bodily discomforts. You may also feel irritable and agitated. You must be aware that during detox you will not feel well. You will feel how the body releases the toxins out. After the detox period you will feel amazing. During detox, you should avoid stressful people and situations. It is recommended to be surrounded by loving and supportive people, to have happy activities and to get plenty of rest. So, let’s get to know our rehab programs.
1) Healthy eating program.
In this program, you eat only healthy foods. You look at your normal diet and cut out toxic foods. It’s that simple. No more junk food, no ready-made food, no meat, no sugar and gluten (bread), no fried foods in harmful oils, no alcohol and fizzy drinks. You only eat healthy food that is cooked by you or someone who knows you want to eat healthy. You can just stick with this way of eating for a while until you feel better, and then see if you’re ready for a more intense detox. Even if you feel like you don’t need further detox, sticking to a healthy diet from now on will make you feel better and better.
2) Organic Raw Vegan (Raw Vegetable Food) 7-14 days – detox diet.
This diet consists only of (preferably organic) super vegetables, nuts, seeds and some fruits, which are always eaten raw (no cooking, preparation or juicing). Coconut oil and olive oil will also work wonders. You can eat them individually or mix them into salads. Himalayan salt, pepper and inactive yeast flakes bring many nutrients and minerals to the body. By eating nutritious raw foods, you can get maximum nutrition from the foods you eat. Cooking burns off some of the nutrition.
3) Detoxification of fasting – detox without food.
The central element of the detoxification process is fasting (no food). Fasting is a long-known practice that aims to cleanse the body, mind and heart, and prepare you for spiritual experiences. During fasting, the body has more time and energy to release toxins. Our digestive system requires a lot of energy to process food. Because we no longer give it food (work), the body has more time and energy to clean itself. While fasting, we start the cellular repair mechanisms in the body and bring clarity and development to the brain. Fasting literally brings cleansing to the cellular level. Reducing food intake for more than 18 hours triggers a process called autophagy. This process manifests itself through a kind of cannibalism of the body, where dead, sick, old and useless cells are “eaten” by the body to obtain energy for self-feeding. At the same time, the body recycles all the good parts from the eaten cells. The debris inside the cells are recycled into a form that the body can use as building blocks to create new, healthy cells.
As all cells in the body participate in detoxification, they eliminate cellular waste in the blood, from where they are transported to the gastrointestinal tract and eliminated from the body. When we eat, the body is in the phase of building, repairing and growing muscle. When we stop eating for long hours, we enter autophagy and recycling.
Even during a very short fast, amazing things happen to the body and brain. In just 24 hours, the production of human growth hormone increases by 1500% in women and 2000% in men, repairing the cells that make up our tissues. Stopping eating for more than 18 hours awakens the body’s self-repair system, detoxifies cells and activates longevity genes.
There are 4 types of fasting that I have come across, one stronger than the other. Fasting is a powerful healing tool, and it is always recommended to consult your doctor if you have any kind of illness or if you are taking any medication. Also, if you are healthy, it is very helpful to have a guide who can give you useful information and support while you are fasting.
The simplest type of fast is the green vegetable juice fast. It consists of a diet that has only green juices on the menu. I don’t recommend fruit juices because the sugar in them will damage the liver and create a lot of inflammation in the body. It is recommended to drink more green juices made from super vegetables. Drink 1-2-3 times a day, around 240ml a glass, you will feel what your body needs for every day. Drinking clean water and green tea will help flush out toxins. A detox period of a few days to a week is recommended here, but if you feel you can go longer, go for it.
Next is the water fast. Drink only healthy natural water without fluoride (if possible). I recommend a rehab period of 3-7 days.
Next is the urine fast. Yes, you got it right. You don’t have to do it. It is presented only to make it available to the curious. This time you only drink your precious urine. It sounds gross, but your urine is actually very healthy for you. It is the best antidote available for poisons or venoms and has a great effect in releasing toxins from the body. Urine in a healthy, toxin-free person is made up of 95% kidney distilled water and 5% uric substances (which are leftover parts of broken-down used proteins, meaning they are food for the body). It is transparent in colour and has no smell. People who have toxins in their bodies have a urine colour ranging from bright yellow to dark orange, depending on the amount of toxins present. It also has a strong unpleasant smell. Since you release toxins through your urine, it is recommended that you always drink the clearest urine you have right after you release it. No point in drinking your toxins again. Get a container and watch the colour of your urine, save the cleanest and drink it. I recommend a 1–2-day detox period, but if you feel you can do more, go ahead. And I didn’t get to do this fast, but I drank my transparent clean urine twice and saw that it wasn’t bad or disgusting, it was warm and nice.
The last and most powerful type of fasting or any type of detox in my experience is dry fasting. Dry fasting means no food, no water, no nothing. You completely stop any type of food and drink. This is the most challenging, but it is also the most efficient and the fastest. Since the body is no longer receiving anything, it can use all its energy to cleanse itself by eliminating all toxins. It will digest all the food left in the stomach until it is completely empty and then it will start to feed first on the fat cells and then on the muscles. During dry fasting, you will lose weight. I recommend that you dry fast until all the food is digested and all the fat cells are gone (in different periods at a comfortable pace, not to go longer than the body and mind can handle). Apart from giving you a healthy body, dry fasting also gives you a beautiful looking body. Each person will have their own specific weight loss based on their metabolism. The max days I did the dry fast detox was 5 days, I lost 22 pounds and I went through a really good cleanse. I recommend starting with a day or two at first to see how it feels. Then, if you feel you can do more, keep going. I think 2 days should be enough time if it comes after periods of other types of detox. If you choose to do a dry fast detox, I recommend doing more research online about it and/or seeing a specialist.
While doing a detox program, especially fasting ones, it is imperative that you relax as much as possible. This means no physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. This is the time when the body will need all its energy to detox and healing. This is not a time for work, training, training, parties, conflicting discussions with others, or activities with many people. This is a time when we need to be more with ourselves, in peace, when we meditate, paint, read, listen to music and have pleasant conversations with others. It is best to have a caregiver to cover your needs, a guide to give you advice throughout the fast, and to have little interaction with supportive friends and/or family members. It is crucial not to have interactions with toxic people, whoever they are. During the detox period, you will have some symptoms. Depending on the level of toxicity you have, you will experience a certain degree of intensity of physical, mental and/or emotional discomfort. Everyone will have their own type of discomfort, but usually the symptoms are headaches, fatigue, different types of pain, fever or warm body, irritability, anxiety, restlessness. Also, all kinds of negative feelings towards oneself and towards others can arise. This is due to the detoxification effect; you will feel the physical parts healing and you will also feel the release of negative thoughts and emotions that are held in the human energy system by toxins. For these more unpleasant moments, it is recommended to avoid any stress. Having people who care for you and support you during the process will make your transition easier. It is not recommended to go through this alone without support, especially when you are just starting out.
Many people who want to switch from a meat-based diet to a plant-based one are discouraged by the fact that they feel weak after making the dietary change. They say they don’t feel strong enough or feel tired, that they need meat to be able to work and do their chores. They are not aware that they feel this way because the body is in healing and detox mode. It will take some time to regain its energy and vitality, and it will be a bigger one than before. During detox, patience, trust and perseverance are key factors. For an easier fasting detox experience without food, it is highly recommended that you first do a 2-week detox with healthy food on the menu, such as those shown above. If you know that you have a very toxic body, I recommend that you start gradually with the detoxification process. First you start with food detox, then you have 3 weeks or 4 weeks to recover from the detox and integrate the healthy diet, then you go to a liquid detox, you have another recovery and integration period after that. After you get used to fasting without food, you can enter the detox experience of dry fasting. I highly recommend the dry fasting experience. It’s the fastest and most healing of them all, but it’s also the most challenging. You will feel your stomach shrink. If you’ve been a vegetarian or vegan for quite some time and don’t eat gluten or drink alcohol, I recommend going straight to the dry fasting detox experience. The choice of detoxification method depends on the level of toxicity. Knowing what ingredients you have in your diet will make you realize how many toxins you have in your body and thus you will know which detoxification method is right for you at that moment. If you have a normal diet, it means you have a lot of toxins in your system.
A very important fact is to enjoy the experience of healing through detox. It will give you a new body and an upgraded brain. Your mind will be a lot sharper, and your mood will be constantly high. You will experience nutritional renaissance. You will activate the longevity genes, making your youth and growth longer. You will get to know yourself better and develop new traits and skills.
